About
Welcome to Palais d'Ajit, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Verdun, Quebec. What this restaurant lacks in regal decor, it more than makes up for with its exceptional culinary offerings and warm hospitality. Located at 4801 Rue de Verdun, it invites you to embark on a flavorful journey through authentic Indian cuisine.
From the moment you step inside, you are enveloped in a simple yet comfortable atmosphere. It’s a place where you can truly relax while indulging in an array of delectable dishes. The reviews speak volumes—diner Linnea Rowlatt commended the deliciously crafted menu and friendly service, assuring that the experience is both satisfying and reasonably priced.
One standout feature of Palais d'Ajit is its unique approach to dining. Patrons can bring their own wine, which is served in charming chalices that elevate the experience to one of regal elegance, as noted by Nikolai G. Pair your wine with their mouthwatering lamb korma, tender rice, and soft naan for a truly unforgettable meal. The generous portions will leave you feeling satisfied; it's no wonder that many guests leave raving about their experience.
Vegetarian patrons will also find plenty of options, making this a versatile dining destination. Gabriel Lauzon's remarks about the menu’s variety highlight a commitment to inclusivity in flavor and satisfaction. The dishes are bursting with flavors that remain authentic to Indian cuisine—a spirit captured brilliantly in favorite offerings like butter chicken and lamb tikka masala, celebrated by Simar Arora.
Perhaps what truly sets Palais d'Ajit apart is its remarkable service. Reviews consistently mention the attentive and kind staff who enhance your meal, ensuring a memorable dining experience. This level of care makes you feel valued, creating a sense of belonging that keeps customers returning.
Overall, Palais d'Ajit stands out as more than just a restaurant; it's a culinary haven that captures the essence of Indian flavors. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Indian cuisine or a newcomer eager for exploration, this dining destination promises an outstanding experience rife with delightful dishes and warm service. I heartily recommend visiting this lovely spot—you won't regret it!
“ My cousin and I ate here last week and it was GREAT! The food was delicious and reasonably priced, the restaurant vibe is simple and comfortable, and the service was friendly and prompt. I look forward to eating here again. ”
“ Palais d’Ajit may not be a palace physically but the chalices they give you when you bring your own wine really makes you feel like royalty. I was drinking my wined chalice with two other beverages - water and my signature ginger ale - and got to eat the lamb korma with rice and naan. Absolutely loved it and the portions were plenty! My friends got a varied selection of dishes and they also enjoyed the wares of Palais d’Ajit. Will for sure be coming back, a lovely experience and very kind staff. Huzzah ”
